International Place Branding Association.

This year we are celebrating that the International Place Branding Association has been around for ten years! We commemorate that with a special 2026 logo and – of course – festivities at our tenth annual IPBA conference in Lisbon, 28-30 October this year.

With 10 international conferences, 1.2K followers on Facebook, 2.4K followers on LinkedIn, 1.3K subscribers to our mailing list, and 500 delegates attending our conferences over the last ten years IPBA has become a significant global community that has claimed its role and presence in the world. It will continue to do so for the next ten years (and more).

The International Place Branding Association (IPBA) is a non-profit global independent association made up of experts – academics and professionals – as well as other individuals involved in, related to or with a specific interest in the fields and disciplines connected to the branding and marketing of places.

The Association has been formed on September the 1st 2016, following the initiative of the participants of Poznań Best Place Summit in 2014 in Poland and the 5th International Conference on Destination Branding and Marketing, Macao SAR China, also in 2014.
